With Pam Vlahakis at Chase Park, Chatham at the Labyrinth
$30 for session
Preregistration is required
Rain Date: July 10

Qigong and Tai chi are ancient Chinese exercises.  The gentle flowing movements promote flexibility and strength of the tissues.  In particular the connective tissue or fascia that envelopes the vertebra of the spine is impacted positively with exercises like qigong and tai chi.

This workshop will focus on learning slow gentle nourishing qigong exercises rooted in Medical/Therapeutic Qigong.  Mindful concentration, breath awareness and gentle flowing movements are the pillars of Qigong and Tai Chi.  These mind body exercises can help cultivate inner and outer flexibility and strength.

Participants will learn tai chi principles and postures that support a healthy spine.  A therapeutic qigong regimen for a healthy back will also be introduced.

“You are as young as your spine.”  Chinese proverb
