An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until February 27, 2018


Deepen (or begin!) your meditation practice this winter. Explore and discover various elements of sitting meditations and movement meditations. Together, we will practice ways that support the meeting of each moment of this life with presence, clarity, responsiveness, and openness.  Each session will build upon earlier sessions.  

Jan 9: Concentration: a foundation for meditation and prayer

Jan 16: Walking meditation: Deepening concentration; moving without scattering

Jan 23: Walking and expanding the field

Jan 30: Sensing Practice

Feb 6: Simple Tai Chi

Feb 13: Awareness/Mindfulness

Feb 20: Review, and just practicing

With Richard Hunt
Richard is a retired psychologist; during the course of his career, he worked in the areas of chronic pain, addictions, relationship problems, and individual distress. He has been a student of the Diamond Approach (the Ridhwan School) since the mid 1990’s.  The Diamond Approach is a path of self-realization that draws from Eastern and Western spiritual traditions and from modern psychology; its aim is to help students discover and actualize their most authentic self.

Richard has also studied Mahamudra meditation, participating in over a dozen retreats led by lamas and practitioners familiar with that view; in addition, he has participated in many Vipassana style meditation retreats.  He has familiarity with a wide range of spiritual approaches.
