Meditation On and Off the Pillow

We will meet weekly for 4 consecutive weeks, and explore various elements of sitting meditations and movement meditation. Together, we will practice ways that support the meeting of each moment of this life with presence, clarity, responsiveness, and openness. While each session will build on the earlier sessions, it is allowable to “pick and choose” from among the sessions, if you wish. For anyone desiring a more intensive immersion in the instructions, or anyone feeling like more support for practice would benefit them, you can pre-register for all 8 meetings (AM and PM) and receive a discount.
Session 1: Concentration: a foundation for meditation and prayer
Session 2: Walking meditation: Deepening concentration; moving without scattering
Session 3: Building continuity of Practice; Mindfulness
Session 4: Maitri; Loving Kindness Practice
Meetings: The same content and practices will be presented in the Morning sessions and the Evening sessions. Please feel free to come to whichever meetings work for you, and to “mix and match” a combination of AM and PM meetings if that is what your schedule requires.
