MLK’s ‘Letter from Birmingham Jail’ Study Group
October 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until November 20, 2018
In collaboration with Nauset Interfaith Association
Most Americans are familiar with Dr. Martin Luther King’s ” I Have A Dream,” moving address; however, fewer than 10% have read and studied his ” Letter From Birmingham Jail,” considered by most scholars as his most important work. Many say that if the New Testament canon of Scripture could be expanded this letter would be a favorite for inclusion. Join this interfaith study group to “read, mark, learn and inwardly digest” this remarkable document so that we may grow in the spirit of Dr. King and participate in his vision for creating Beloved Community.
Participants are expected to attend all 5 sessions, and are reminded that this is a safe space.
No registration fee, however donations are gratefully accepted.
